Master Class Series

The Music Workshop hosts periodic master classes by its faculty and nationally / internationally known performers / educators. Most of these events are free of charge and open to the public. Doors will open 15 minutes prior to each event and seating is first come first serve. Please visit our website regularly to keep up to date with additions and or cancellations. Mark Hanson:

Grammy award winner Mark Hanson is a highly regarded performer, composer, author and teacher. His recordings are heard regularly on TV shows such as American Idol and Martha Stewart’s Living as well as on syndicated radio. Mark contributed two pieces to the 2005 Grammy winning album Henry Mancini - Pink Guitar. Mark has released many instructional books on finger style guitar and hosts the annual Accent on Music Finger Style Guitar Seminar in Portland, OR where he teaches and performs with fellow instructors who include a who’s who of renowned guitarists from around the globe. Mark’s concerts are enjoyable affairs, highlighted by blazing finger picking, haunting ballads, fun songs and good humor.
