Megan Wellman

Ian Brick

For as long as she can remember, Megan has loved music. Brought up in a small town, she was nurtured musically by a close-knit group of teachers, including her mother-- a church choir director. Throughout her adolescence she always maintained a balance between her academic and her musical aspirations, until her senior year of high school when she realized that her path in life was clear and that music was it. Megan attended The University of the Arts in Philadelphia where she majored in Vocal Performance and participated in many ensembles and performances. She was the recipient of a Promising Artist Scholarship and the Vocal Faculty Award, and studied under teachers such as Jeff Kern, Justin Binek, Paul Adkins, Reginald Pindell and Dr. Annette DiMedio. This facilitated the developing of a competency in a wide range of styles in both voice and piano. Megan currently works as a freelance vocalist and pianist playing various types of events, as well as teaching private voice and piano. She also performs with the local a capella sensation "The Dolls". Megan believes that music is the gateway to a balanced life, and is looking forward to sharing that gift with her students!
