Nicole Tranquello

Born in Reading PA, Nicole fell in love with music, poetry and dance at a young age.  She began her musical studies as a classically trained pianist but soon began to study voice and guitar as well. Nicole’s passion for music led her to perusing a degree in the arts and she was accepted into the voice program at The University of the Arts in the fall of 2004. Nicole graduated in 2008 with a BM in Vocal Performance and is currently an adjunct professor at her alma mater. She has performed at such venues as The Kimmel Center, The Merriam Theatre, the TLA, and World Café Live.  Nicole was a Top 24 contestant on Season 6 of the hit TV show American Idol.  On more than one occasion she has opened up for The Roots as well as for Wale, and multi platinum/international recording artist Snoop Dogg. Nicole is currently working on her full-length album, as well as writing for new and established artists with producers in Philadelphia, New York, and Los Angeles.  She is very excited to be a part of the faculty at The Music Workshop and eager to share her knowledge and experience with her students!
